RETURNING PATIENTS

Please be aware that if you have been a patient at EVOLVE for at least a year, you must refill the health history/intake form. This form needs to be updated annually. Thank you for you co-operation.

PREGNANT PATIENTS

Please book your appointment under “Prenatal Massage” and indicate how many weeks pregnant you are under “Notes” on the appointment.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

We require 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule your appointment. For the first missed or last minute cancelled appointments after the 24 hours are subject to 50% of the treatment cost. Any missed or cancelled appointments thereafter are subject to the full amount of the treatment cost. Our policy is subject to each practitioners discretion. Massage therapy is a clinically-oriented healthcare option that helps alleviate the discomfort associated with every day occupational stresses, muscular over-use and many other chronic pain conditions. Massage therapy can be used as a treatment for both acute and chronic cases.


Registered Acupuncture

Acupuncture is an age-old healing practice of traditional Chinese medicine in which thin needles are placed at specific points in the body. It's primarily used to relieve pain but also has been used to treat other conditions, such as gastrointestinal issues, mental health wellness, neurological issues, infertility and can even help with weight-loss.

Meet Anne-Marie! She is a Registered Massage Therapist with the CMTO, and graduated with honours from the Georgian College Massage Therapy Program.

Her goal is to always provide the highest quality client care, to treat and prevent injuries, to relieve pain and stress, and to restore function. She also has clinical experience in treating clients with sports injuries, perinatal and infant care, senior and complex care, and fibromyalgia.

She completed placements at RVH in the cancer and palliative unit, and the Georgian Bay Cancer Support Center, Penetanguishene. Anne-Marie is passionate about research and conferring with peers, to offer clients evolving treatment options and varying indicated techniques.

Her approach to each treatment is always patient-focused, using modalities such as myofascial, deep tissue, trigger point, PNF stretching, percussive, traditional Swedish, joint mobilization, progressive relaxation and breathing exercises.

Outside of work, Anne-Marie is an avid reader who is passionate about learning and ideas, music, movies, history and world events. She spends most of her free time with her family and their senior dog, enjoying the backyard in the summer, and winter trail hiking.

Meet Alex! She graduated with honours from the massage therapy program at Georgian College in December of 2018. She has been a member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario since January 2020 and is in good standing. She has recently graduated with honours from the acupuncture program at Georgian College and hopes to be a registered acupuncturist in the next year.

She has training in deep tissue massage, prenatal massage, trigger point therapy, sports massage, joint mobilizations, and myofascial release. She has experience with chronic headaches/migraines, MS, arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, etc.

As a massage therapist, Alex has extensive knowledge and experience with patients of multiple backgrounds and concerns. She carefully chooses a treatment plan for that individual and provides remedial exercises to her patients to continue at home to achieve their personal goals.

She offers multiple modalities that she can use in her treatments that can assist with an individual treatment plan. Her modalities include cupping therapy, acupuncture and gua sha. She hopes that she can provide Indie Head massages and reflexology treatments in the near future.

In her spare time, she enjoys reading, long walks with her dog, ice skating and spending quality time with her partner and daughter.

Meet Nicole!

Nicole graduated from the Massage Therapy program at Georgian College in 2022 and is currently pursuing a Bachelors in Health Sciences!

Nicole also holds certifications in Personal Training, as well as certifications in Women’s fitness/coaching.

Prior to becoming a Massage Therapist, Nicole worked as a Personal Support Worker for 12 years. She has worked in various health care settings, to which she gained experience working with individuals with, MS, ALS, Fibromyalgia, oncology, Palliative Care, Post Operative acute and sub acute clients as a PSW and now an RMT.

She utilizes an evidence-based approach to help discover and treat the root cause of her patient’s pain. By assessing and interviewing each patient, she can discover contributing factors in her patient’s lifestyle, which allows her to build a treatment and on-going treatment plan tailored to each individual patient.

Nicole focuses on a blend of Swedish massage, deep tissue massage when necessary, joint mobilization and stretching techniques to promote tissue health and better mobility.

In her spare time, she enjoys working out at the gym, walking her dog Dio, and spending quality time with her husband!

Meet Kathleen (Katee)! She is a Registered Acupuncturist in good standing with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario. She graduated with honours from the Georgian College Acupuncture Program in 2022. Prior to her Acupuncture training she received a Bachelor of Science from Towson University in Maryland where she was awarded a 4-year full-scholarship as an NCAA division 1 volleyball player.

In addition to her formal education, she also trained in India to get her 500 hour Yoga Therapist and Instructor certificate. She has been practising yoga for over 13 years.

Katee looks forward to helping patients of all ages attain balance and health in their life. Her treatments are suited for various ailments including pain, mental health issues, sleep problems, digestive issues, women’s health issues, and stress. She also offers preventative treatments for immunity strength, as well as cosmetic acupuncture treatments.

Each treatment Katee offers is customized for the patient’s unique constitution and imbalance. Treatments may also include Tui Na massage, gua sha, cupping, and auricular acupuncture, depending on the patient’s diagnosis.
